North Trash Compactor



So, you're driving down the 405 South and wonder, what is that? It's a bird? It's a plane? Nope. It's the John Wayne Airport's new Trash Compacting facility.

As part of the Airport Improvement Program, the John Wayne Airport relocated its trash facility from south of Terminal B to north of Terminal A. Why? Because Terminal C is being constructed just south of Terminal B!

So, the trash facility had to be relocated. In addition, the facility was upgraded with state of the art compactors, to help minimize waste production. Soon, the Airport will also have point-of-disposal recycling bins in an additional effort of green practices.
